You already implement Normal Operation Mode on your SAP System as below. But, because of your end user needs sometimes you must change Operation Mode to fulfill their needs (ex. in the morning you set 10 work process for background and in the night you set 30 work process for background, but this morning your user must run 20 background process simultaneously). What you can do ?
You can use Exception Operation Mode to fulfill their temporary request. Just go to TCode RZ04, click on Operation Mode and choose Timetable
Or, you can run TCode SM63 directly.
Choose Exception operation and click Change button.
Pointing your cursor to future start time of operation mode (you can not select start time on the past) and then choose Operation Mode - Select interval (F2).
Do the same way, to select end time.
Interval time will be selected with different colour. Click on Assign for assigning Operation Mode
For example, you wan to to assign Day Operation Mode. Choose the operation mode and click on Continue button
You can also specify exception time/date.
Don't forget to save the Exception Mode by clikcing Save button.
When saving finished, you will be directed to previous page and will get this prompt.
Although that, when the exception mode run, in RZ03 you still see Active Operation mode setting follow Normal Operation Mode. Don't worry, check setting work process from SM50. You will see that your exception setting already reflected.
Good luck :)
